A pair of special Nike Air Yeezy worn by Kanye West

A pair of special Nike Air Yeezy worn by the man himself - Kanye West - was recently up for auction at Sotheby’s. Kanye was the first non- sportsman that Nike made a sneaker collaboration with and the music icon wore this pair of sneakers in the subject for this article at his Grammy performance in 2008. The previous sneaker record, set last year by a pair of Nike Air Jordan, $615 000 million US was expected to be overtaken by the pair of Nike Air Yeezy worn by Kanye West as Sotheby’s estimated the sneakers to fetch $1 million US. However, Sotheby’s was wrong. The final bid landed at a staggering $1.8 million US!
