The London-based dealer A Collected Man recently revealed that a unique ‘SAS’ Explorer II Rolex is up for sale. Rolex has had a long history of providing special military watches for the British army where the Special Air Service (SAS) is one of its elite units and it consists of approximately 400-600 elite soldiers. This ‘SAS’ Rolex has got the SAS ‘winged dagger’ sign, the SAS motto ”who dares wins” as well as ‘22 SAS’ engraved on the caseback where the latest refers to one of the regiments that SAS consists of. Probably because of how few who had the ability to qualify for the ‘22 SAS’, that the watch was limited to only 100-150 pieces and the overall lure of the Swiss watchmaker, this ‘SAS’ Explorer II Rolex is for sale for a fierce price of almost $50,000 US!
