COMME des GARÇONS x Artek
COMME des GARÇONS and Artek have teamed up for a special collaboration featuring a collection of furniture. Although the Japanese luxury brand is known for its signature fashion, there is a furniture heritage at CdG as founder Rei Kawakubo designed furniture for her Paris and Tokyo stores in the 1980s’. For this collection with Artek (which is a Finnish high-end furniture company), COMME des GARÇONS has taken on Alvar Aalto's iconic chairs such as Stool 60,Chair 66 and Stool E60 for example. The COMME des GARÇONS x Artek furniture collection is for sale exclusively in Japan at CdG’s stores in Osaka, Kyoto, Marunouchi and Fukuoka for $640-2,400 US!
