Crazy Horse by Banksy

Banksy's renowned mural Crazy Horse is making waves as a car door from this iconic installation goes up for auction through Julien’s auction house. Created during Banksy's 2013 New York City residency, the mural combines street art with socio-political commentary, depicting stampeding horses and a group of terrified individuals.

Positioned near Ludlow and Stanton streets, Crazy Horse includes an audio component with clips from a 2007 Apache airstrike in Baghdad. The audio, known as “Collateral Murder,” reveals the unsettling indifference of soldiers involved in the airstrike, adding a stark layer of reality to the artwork.

Debuting on October 9, 2013, as part of Banksy's Better Out Than In residency, the auction not only features the car door but also includes a custom-built display stand and a paint-splattered traffic cone from the installation. Each piece, measuring 71 x 40.5 x 30 inches, showcases Banksy's unique blend of art and social consciousness.
