‘Imperial’ Patek Philippe for $6.3 million US

Phillips

We previously wrote about a fantastic Rolex Milgauss watch that was sold for $2.5 million US but now we are taking it even further with the watch that is the subject for this article. At Phillips auction in Hong Kong last month, this incredible Patek Philippe became the most expensive watch sold this year as well as the 8th most expensive watch sold at auction in history. This Ref. 96QL was previously owned by the last emperor of China and last monarch of the Qing dynasty, Aisin-Gioro Puyi, and the watch is one of only eight models that Patek Philippe manufactured with a complete calendar complication. Because of its rarity and imperial provenance this exquisite Patek Philippe Ref. 96QL watch was sold for an astronomical sum of $6.3 million US!
