A silver point drawing from the one and only Leonardo Da Vinci was recently sold at Christie’s for a record breaking sum of $12,2 million USD. The drawing is called Head of a Bear and is according to artnet believed to be part of the studies of animals that da Vinci did in the 1480s. The very small drawing is about the same size as a postage stamp and has previously been exhibited at the National Gallery in London and at the Louvre Abu Dhabi for example, and this ultra rare drawing is believed to be one of the last drawings by Leonardo da Vinci to hit the market. We hope that the new lucky owner of Leonardo da Vinci’s Head of a Bear doesn’t make the mistake and put the drawing on his or her next letter!
