Official Roses x Care of Carl- One coat, three looks
Following up on last week’s article with Care of Carl named “Winter is coming” where we suggested three different looks for this winter, this article is specifically focused on one of the pieces in those looks, more closely the coat. A marine colored coat is arguably the most versatile piece for a man’s look during the fall/winter season and suits as good to a well- dressed look as a casual look or a modern look with a little bit of both. One reason to invest in a versatile marine colored coat is that you can wear it for many years to come and it will still suit your style even if your other fashion preferences change over time. Other arguments to invest in an elegant timeless designed coat is (if you read between the lines above) both economical and ecological. If you invest in a quality coat, it will probably be cheaper in relation to how long you can use it, than buying “not so quality like” coats every other season as well as it is more sustainable for the environment obviously. In this first casual look from Care of Carl, the Hugo Boss cashmere coat is accompanied by a Thom Browne hoodie, a white Club Monaco shirt, Levi’s 501 jeans and sneakers from Common Projects. The marine blue color and white shades are a perfect colour match for the look and if you let the collar of the shirt hint underneath the hoodie, it gives a well-dressed touch to the otherwise neat casual look.

Classic
If you are aiming for a timeless well-dressed look, few other pieces are as elegant as a classic coat. This look makes the Hugo Boss cashmere coat blend in exquisite with a blazer from Oscar Jacobson, a white Canali-shirt, grey flannel pants from PT01 and shoes from Crockett & Jones. Nothing more to be said really, this second look from Care of Carl speaks for itself!

Contemporary
This third and final look from Care of Carl, we recommend for those of you who prefer a more contemporary take on the coat and want to put a modern twist to the look by mixing the other pieces in the look a bit more. Underneath the Hugo Boss cashmere coat is a knitted Beams Plus vest worn together with a thick t-shirt from Sunflower, white harbour jeans from A.P.C and Lanvin running sneakers which gives a striking modern look. The dark blue coat’s structure ties together this whole look in a balanced way and enhances the overall appearance elegantly.
