Many of us miss those warm summer days now when colder times are ahead and we can’t blame ourselves for that really. However, we should not despair but rather take the opportunity to see the positive possibilities instead as “winter is coming” (pun intended) such as the more layers of clothes we need to put on, the more space we get to show off our fashion. A well cut coat over a suit is a timeless elegant look that everyone can wear. The coat is also a piece that suits equally as good to a more relaxed look, such as together with cotton trousers and a knitted sweater for example. The grain boots are from John Lobb and the look is finished off with a beige flower-printed scarf from Altea.

The shirt jacket & vest
A shirt jacket, or an overshirt, can be worn in so many ways. It is a matter of preference or occasion if you want to wear it as a casual blazer or as a light outerwear and if you combine it with a lined vest underneath, you get as warm as stylish. In the second look, Care of Carl has put together a warm and well-dressed casual look consisting of a shirt jacket from Slowear, a vest and trousers from Ermenegildo Zegna, a Piacenza cashmere and a button down shirt from Drake’s as well as brown suede boots from Brunello Cucinelli.

The puffer jacket & roll neck
Puffer jackets keep us warm but are often very loose in their design. With a relatively tight puffer jacket though, you can match it with a polo and boots and get a really neat look that is as elegant as comfortable. That is exactly what Care of Carl’s third look is featuring: a forest green puffer jacket from Herno with a white rainwool roll neck from Gran Sasso underneath, grey slacks from Incotex as well as R.M. Williams boots that really cement the stylish look even further.
