Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 set a new world record



An incredible watch collection called The Nevadian Collector recently auctioned at Sotheby’s Hong Kong. It consisted of 38 single-owned Patek Philippe watches, therefore you can imagine, the collection fetched a staggering amount of money. Amongst the 38 Patek watches, it was the second series Ref. 2499 watch in pink gold from 1957 that set a new world record. This perpetual calendar chronograph from Patek with a double sign from the retailer Gobbi Milano was sold for the record breaking sum of $7,68 million US, and in total the Nevadian Collector fetched a sum of around $20,5 million US!
