A while ago it was reported that Peter Jackson, the director of movies such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Hobbit, and King Kong, was working with a documentary about Beatles. To be more specific: the documentary will be focusing on the recordings of the Let it be album, which would become the group’s last one.

There is already an existing documentary with the same name from 1970 made by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, where a conflictive recording was displayed. However, this documentary which will have a more joyful vibe and depict the fun and loving moments Beatles had during the recording of this iconic album. Jackson has had access to all of the previous documentary’s material, as well as 55 hours of unique material including recordings from Beatles notorious gig at their music label’s roof.

Hopefully this documentary will not be affected by the horrific Coronavirus, so we hope all Beatles fans all over the world keep their fingers crossed, so that we can go and watch the Let it be documentary by Peter Jackson in September!
