The 6 million dollar Aston Martin DB5
If you think of the Aston Martin DB5 perhaps you think of James Bond and vice versa. That is for sure the case amongst 007 fans and carlovers. First seen in Goldfinger, after that in Thunderbolt and in Goldeneye. After 17 years, the car returned to the later James Bond movies Skyfall and Spectre. The elegance of the car and the fact that it is "the" Bond car has made the Aston Martin DB5 a true icon.
From the first version in 1963 until the modern DB- series, there has been a lot of changes, because of technology of course, but the elegance will always be in focus and remain the signature of Aston Martin cars.
Speaking of 007, this august a costume made DB5 for James Bond (the car was not in the movies but it is an exact copy), with all of Q:s special effects and finesses, went for sale at auction at RM Sotheby's and was sold for $6,385,000!
