The Bowmore and Aston Martin Arc-52 bottle of whisky

Bowmore and Aston Martin continue their partnership with the spectacular Arc-52 bottle of whisky. Because of its name, it comes as no surprise that this single malt whisky has been aged for a staggering time of 52 years but the fact that it has been aged in a sherry butt and an American oak ex-Bourbon hogshead might be news to some of you. The (what we assume) exquisite whisky from the Scottish whisky distillery and the British legendary automaker presents notes of fruit and vanilla as well as hints of tobacco, light peat and citrus. The Arc-52 whisky comes in a dynamic and fluid decanter with contours that makes it appear aerodynamic and the design, just as in the Aston Martin cars, takes balance as the most important factor and in this case it is the balance between heritage and innovation. Because this Arc-52 bottle of whisky from Bowmore and Aston Martin is an artwork both visually and flavourly as well as it is limited to only 100 bottles, it comes with a hefty price of $125,000 US!
