The Geneva Watch Auction XV: May 7-8
At Hôtel La Réserve in Geneva, Switzerland on May 7-8, there will be many spectacular watches up for auction at Phillips. However, there are three extremely special because of their design, relevance but also their provenance for example. The first we should mention is a rare Rolex chronograph wristwatch in 14K yellow gold with a black "Paul Newman" dial that is estimated to fetch around $743,000-1,490,000. The second is pink gold Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 with a pink dial that is estimated to fetch $1.25 million US – $2.5 million USD. Last but not least, the third watch we want to tell you about is a Rolex ‘Crazy Doc’ Ref. 6239 chronograph valued at around $1,58 million US, previously belonging and worn on the wrist of none other than the rock legend Eric Clapton!
