Gucci's “unwearable” sneakers
So, this is very uncharacteristic for Gucci but its latest sneakers are both cheap and unwearable. How is that even possible you might wonder? Well, it is because the sneakers in question are digital footwear in the form of augmented reality (AR). The Italian luxury fashion house has partnered up with fashion-tech company Wanna to make this virtual series of sneakers into “reality”. The Belarus-based Wanna has previously worked with Puma, Reebok and Snapchat in various virtual clothing projects and now supports Gucci at the forefront of digital fashion. The digital Gucci sneaker is available on Wanna’s app for $8.99 USD or on the Gucci app for $11.99 USD. Express your fashion in the digital world in the same way as you do in real life by showing off your sneaker-game with Gucci sneakers!
