Hernö Gin is the first dedicated gin distillery in Sweden as well as the most awarded gin in Europe. The hammered copper stills Kierstin and Marit are crafting the award-winning organic gin from natural botanicals. It all began with a passion for gin and a dream evolving to gin crafting. Jon Hillgren went, in 1999, to London and discovered the world of gin while working as a bartender. I took just over a decade, meanwhile studying political science and researching gin, before a friend talked him into following his dream and starting his own gin, therefore Hernö Gin was born in 2011.

An 1800-century farm in Dala, situated in The High Coast of Sweden (in the middle of nowhere really) is now a strong spot on the map of the gin world. The craftsmanship results in truly organic, artisan gin inspired by the natural beauty of the region which has a natural beauty and is the perfect soil for purity and passion.

The word spread all over the world, as Hernö Gin became the most awarded gin at The International Gin Masters 2013. And so the success story began for real. The following years Hernö Gin has won prestigious awards such as, World's best Gin twice, the World's best London Dry Gin, the World's best Gin & Tonic, the Gin Producer of the Year twice, World's Best Old Tom and Best Gin in Asia, These are only a few of the 106 trophies, masters and gold that the Swedish gin distillery has won. Another big moment for the founder, Jon Hillgren, was when he last year got inducted in The Gin Hall of Fame as one of three gin icons in the world. A huge recognition for having made a lasting contribution to the industry.
