Tale of The Macallan Volume 1
Macallan has unveiled its 71-year-old Single Malt whisky called Tales of The Macallan Volume 1. The special release pays tribute to Captain John Grant who saw the great conditions for whisky-making in Easter Elchies Estate in Scotland (where the Macallan Distillery has been located since 1824). This Golden Aiguillette coloured whisky with flavours from apple, peach, Yuzu and sweet wood smoke to name a few comes in a crystal decanter designed by none other than Lalique and the decanter is accompanied with a green leather bound book. The Tales of The Macallan Volume 1 is limited to only 350 bottles, therefore the price tag ain’t cheap for this whisky as it costs $82,600 US!
