The simply fascinating art collection "Living in Color"

A simply fascinating art collection is heading to auction at Sotheby’s in May. The collection of Morris and Rita Pynoos called “Living in Color” features some magnificent artworks and in particular works by the British icon David Hockney and the renowned Dutch-American abstract expressionist Willem De Kooning. Self-Portrait on the Terrace, painted in 1984 by Hockney, depicts his home in L.A in the 80s’ with his iconic pool subject as well as his blue terrace. Even Hockney himself can be seen in the painting. The vibrant artwork is estimated to fetch somewhere between $8-12 million USD and de Kooning’s expressive painting Stowaway is estimated to fetch between $6-8 million USD. Well, the late passionate art couple Morris and Rita Pynoos' beautiful art collection “Living in Color” is something really special and nothing but astonishing!
